Peel apples and cut into small cubes. Place paper cups in the muffin pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder. Add the remaining ingredients, except the apples, and mix everything with a mixer briefly on the lowest level, then on the highest level for 2 minutes to form a smooth dough. Stir in the diced apples. Divide the muffin batter evenly in the muffin tins.
Place ingredients in a mixing bowl. Process everything into crumbles with the mixer on the lowest setting. Scatter the crumbles over the muffins. Put the dish on the rack in the oven.
Baking time: about 35 minutes
Remove the muffins from the muffin pan and leave to cool in the paper cups on a wire rack.
