Preheat your oven to 175°C and grease a loaf pan generously with butter. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Mix in the Dr. Oetker Vanilla Sugar.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, Dr. Oetker Baking Powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
While the loaf is cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing the powdered sugar and water or whole milk until smooth. Once the loaf is completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top. Let the glaze set before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
